Improving projects from an international perspective

Uno Integra Consultores is a Mexican firm, made up of experts in international relations which, under a multidisciplinary approach, offers technical consulting services in design and project management, commercial intelligence and specialized training through custom-designed programs.

We work with government agencies, educational institutions, NGOs, and companies located in Mexico that are interested in undertaking international activities, as well as with foreign actors who wish to establish cooperation and business linkages in Mexico.

      She is an internationalist, Master in Politics and Public Management, as well as in Human Rights and Peace from ITESO. She has a certificate in Violence Prevention and Construction of Citizen Safety from the Carlos Slim Foundation, as well as studies in International Logistics from the First School of Traffic and Customs Processing (ETTA by its acronym in Spanish).

      At a professional level, she is the academic coordinator of the program in "International Relations and Cooperation for Local Development" offered by ITESO, she is part of the Advisory Council of the Mexican Association of Offices and International Affairs of the States (AMAIE by its acronym in Spanish), she is Secretary-General of the Academy of Public Relations and Protocol, she is part of the 50+1 Collective (women for parity) and is an active member of the Xeiriya Collective (articulation of social innovation ecosystems).

      Throughout her career, she has collaborated for more than ten years in the public sector in the main international areas, collaborating in the design, coordination, and execution of international cooperation programs and projects, establishing effective linkages between business chambers, government, civil society, and academy. Likewise, she has participated in the design, organization, coordination, and execution of international business meetings, public policy, and protocol. She has recently specialized in the research and development of diagnoses focused on young people in conflict with the law, and in the development of programs, projects, and interventions for the prevention of violence.

      She has a degree in International Studies from University of Guadalajara and a masters degree in Governance and Development from the Institute for Development Studies (Sussex, UK). She also has studies in Governance and Political Management from CAF, as well as holds a certificate of studies in Violence Prevention from the Carlos Slim Foundation, and executive training in Creating Collaborative Solutions from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.

      During her professional career, she has worked in various international areas of public service, leading projects with the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, the UN-Habitat Safer Cities Program, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Climate Leadership Group C40, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and the designation of Guadalajara as World Book Capital 2022, among others.

      She has experience in topics such as governance, development, international cooperation and internationalization, safety, social innovation, creative economy, mobility, and climate change. She is an active member of the Xeiriya Collective.

      In addition, she is a professor at ITESO and has participated in the preparation of different reports and articles of specialization in the international field, as well as the publication of the chapter "The insertion of Guadalajara in the international environment: 2015-2018" in the book Actores Locales, Impactos Globales: Aportes Académicos en Paradiplomacia, published by the University of Guadalajara in 2019.

      Bachelor in Cultural Management by ITESO. She has experience in the design, implementation and evaluation of cultural and creative, as well as in the management of strategic projects. She has participated in the production of international projects such as the International Media Arts Festival, Guadalajara (2019), she has also collaborated at the Embassy of Mexico in Hungary and at the Directorate of International Relations in Guadalajara.

      She has great interest in subjects such as International Cooperation for Development, Interculturality, Intercultural Communication, Social Innovation and Cultural Theory.

Alejandra Cartagena

Gender and Women's Rights defense.

  • She is a lawyer, master in Human Rights and Peace by ITESO. Specialist in gender studies, defense of women’s rights, and justice in cases of disappearance of children and women in Jalisco, Mexico.

    Currently, she is a member in multiple organizations, committees and is an academic at ITESO and National Pedagogic University (UPN). She collaborates in the committee for the implementation of UN-Habitat “Safer Cities” model in Guadalajara. Also, she is an international lecturer on violence against women, prevention of violence and disappearance; as well as an adjuvant attorney in femicide cases.

    During her professional career she has been coordinator of the Latin America and the Caribbean Committee in Women’s Right defense in Mexico, and has been a member of the Network of Women Defenders in Mesoamerica and the National Citizen Observatory of Femicide.

Andrea Ramírez

Gender studies

  • She is a feminist and gender studies specialist, she has more than 15 years of experience in the public sector, in academia and as an independent consultant. She holds a PhD in Political and Social Science with an orientation in Sociology by UNAM; she is a master in Gender Studies by El Colegio de México; and has a Bachelor’s Degree in international Relations by ITESO.

    She is a specialist in equality and obstetric violence public policies. She was part of the UNAM project “Analysis of affective transformations and the construction of new meanings and social practices in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic”, where she participated with a study on the experience of women experience who had their pregnancy and childbirth during the pandemic confinement.

    Throughout her career she has collaborated in the design and implementation of public policies and specialized training, seminars and workshops with a gender perspective, intersectional approach and human rights; discrimination, equality and gender violence.

    She has also been a proofreader and advisor on inclusive and non-sexist language in different projects for research institutions, international organizations and the federal government.

Andrés Barba

International Affairs and Internationalization of Education Institutions.

  • He is a “Magna Cum Laude” internationalist from UDLAP and Master in Politics and Public Management from ITESO. He has a degree in Communication Sciences from UNIVA; and multiple courses such as political science at the University of Montreal and McGill University; in Leadership for the Mexican Community at Baruch College in New York City; in Decentralized International Cooperation at the Open University of Catalonia, Spain; and in Management Leadership at Universities of the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education.

    He has served in different positions in the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, highlighting his role as Director of Local Governments. He also was Advisor on political and economic affairs to the General Consul of Mexico in New York. Also, he was the International Relations General Director of the Education Ministry of the Government of Jalisco. During 2019-2022 he was the Secretary General of the Organization of Catholic Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (ODUCAL) of which he currently coordinates its Internationalization Network.

    He was the International Development and Foreign Relation Director of UNIVA, as well as professor of international relations at UNIVA and as visiting professor at the University of Guadalajara; and he also coordinated the University Consortium of Jalisco.

Carlos González

Alternative and Restorative Justice, Real Estate Law and Criminal Law.

  • He is a lawyer by the University of Guadalajara, master in Human Rights and Peace, as well as in Politic and Public Management by ITESO. He has a speciality in Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure and Criminal Law Disciplines by the University of Guadalajara.

    He has several diplomas in subjects such as: Alternative and Restorative Justice, Real Estate Law, Commercial Mediation, Financial Law, International Business by the International Language School of Canada.

    Currently, he is director of the law firm “Gonzalez Ortega Servicios Legales, S.C.” consulting lawyers and is member of the Board of Directors of the Real Estate Section of Guadalajara Chamber of Commerce.

Climate Change and Sustainable Development.

  • He has a PhD in Political Science specialized in International Political Economy of Transnational Climate Change Governance in Latin America. Theory, Master in International Economic Relations and Cooperation from the University of Guadalajara and has a Bachelor’s degree with honors in International Trade from the University of Atemajac’s Valley.

    He is an International Relations professor at ITESO university. He has more than 14 years of experience in research and teaching, highlighting its specialty in various areas such as: Transnational Climate Policy, International Environmental Politics, International Relations Theory, Latin American Politics, International Political Economy, Energy Transition, Innovation and Social Systems Transition and Socio-Technological transition.

    He has professional experience in the design and coordination of environmental and economic cooperation projects, as well as international cooperation projects from local governments and civil society.

    Throughout his career, he has collaborated in research projects for the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), as well as for the Ibero-American Municipal Union (UIM). He has also coordinated international forums in the International Affairs Office of the Government of Jalisco, Mexico on two occasions; 2010 and 2021. He has collaborated too in academic cooperation projects involving Mexican federal government ministries, national and foreign Higher Education Institutions and Associations. He was also the Operational Director of the Mexico-Spanish foundation FIDALE.

International Cooperation and Market Analysis.

  • She is an Industrial Engineer by ITESO and Master in Public Policies by the King’s College London. She has wide experience in the state and municipal government, as well as in the private initiative, business chambers and international consultancies.

    Throughout her professional career she has worked in different government ministries and offices of Jalisco, as Organizational Coordinator in the administration ministry of Jalisco, International Cooperation Coordinator in the Jalisco’s Governor Office in 2009 and Evaluation and monitoring projects of the Guadalajara government from 2018 to 2021. She has also worked in the private sector as Research Market Consultancy in Research Solutions, LTD in London from 2011 to 2012 and in QDI Strategies in CDMX - Monterrey from 2013 to 2014.

Maite Cortés

Researcher and environmental pedagogue.

  • She is a researcher and environmental pedagogue, with a masters in environmental education from the University of Guadalajara and has a PhD in Education with emphasis in Pedagogical Mediation from the University of La Salle, Costa Rica and the University of Veracruz. She is dedicated to the practice of collaborative work and social innovation, seeking the construction of meaningful communities. She specializes in designing and guiding creative conversations and generating meaningful learning for groups and networks on environmental issues.

    During her professional career she has been a consultant for the Commission for Environmental Cooperation and the United Nations Environment Program, among other governmental and multilateral agencies. She is an expert on sustainable consumption and production issues and researcher in environmental health with emphasis on air quality and household toxics.

    Currently she is one of the directors of the environmental firm “Corazón Arborícola”, as well as Executive Director and founder of “Colectivo Ecologista Jalisco, A.C” since 35 year.

Gender, Human Rights, Public Policies.

  • She is a Sociologist, PhD and Master in Political and Social Sciences by UNAM. She did a research stay in Philosophy of Law and Gender Perspective at the University of Granada, Spain. She has also attended several courses and seminars on gender issues.

    At the professional level, she is mainly involved in research, and has taught several courses, workshops and conferences on Gender and Equality. She is an independent consultant, has participated in the evaluation and design of social projects for social change, on issues of political violence, Human Rights, gender equality, for agencies such as the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Superior Court of Justice of the State of Mexico and the Ministry of Public Education.

    She has more than 10 years of experience as a university professor. Her areas of interest are Feminisms, Masculinities, Sexual Diversities, Public Policies, Gender Violence and Legal Sociology.

  • She studied international relations at University of Guadalajara and has graduate studies in Business Plan Development by ITESO.

    Specialized in development of international negotiation with 18 years of experience in international relations, international negotiation, business development, strategic alliances in dynamic and complex economic and political environments.

    She has represented Mexican and Canadian government agencies as a trade delegate, and participated in negotiations of bilateral agreements, where she developed a passion for helping companies grow in international markets and contribute to their communities. Currently, she works for a Canadian company as its Director of Business Development, and in its expansion into the U.S. and European Markets.

Cultural diplomacy and International Cooperation, Cultural Diversity and Management.

    She is an Internationalist by the Technological Institute of Monterrey and cultural promoter, holds a master in the Integration of the European Union with more than 20 years of experience in the sectors of Culture and International Relations.

    She has completed more than 25 specialized courses and seminars in various fields of culture and arts, international cooperation, international trade and public administration offered by institutions such as UNESCO, UNAM, Instituto Mora, CONACULTA, INBA, UAM, SRE, BANCOMEXT and others.

    Throughout her career she has been lecturer in public policies for the cultural sector, social development and cultural action, cultural diplomacy, cultural diversity, and artistic mobility in collaboration with international institutions such as UNESCO, EU, OAS, OEI, SEGIB, British Council, Wilton Park, UNAM and with the Ministries of Culture and Foreign Affairs of France, Austria, Haiti, Colombia, among others.

    She was vice-director and Director of International Cultural Cooperation at the Ministry of Culture, Deputy Director General of Cultural Promotion and Cultural Cooperation of AMEXCID and Director of international Affairs at the National Institute of Fines Arts and Literature of Mexico.

    Currently, she is the General Director of Art Connectors, an international agency for the design, development and production of international cultural projects.

Rubén Enoch Torres Álvarez

    He is an Electronic Systems Engineer from ITESM with mention of excellence, he obtained a Master of Science degree with specialization in Quality and Productivity Systems from ITESM and a Master of Business Administration degree from Darla Moore University in 2014. He is a Lean Six sigma Practitioner and Black Belt certified by BMG University (2007).

    Since 2002 he has been a professor in the Industrial and Electronics Engineering Department teaching courses on various topics such as Operations Research, Instrumentation and Measurements, Manufacturing Process Analysis and Improvement, Six sigma and Lean Manufacturing. He worked for seven years in Hitachi Global Storage Technologies in Control and Assurance areas, ESD and Operational Excellence.

    Currently and for the last 10 years he has been General Manager in “Industrias Valore”, a Scappino Group manufactory. He has participated with lectures and workshops in international congresses and taught courses, seminars and diploma modules on Lean Six Sigma and ESD issues.

  • She is a Human Rights Lawyer from the University of Colima and specialist in International Migration and Women, Master in Human Rights and Peace from ITESO. She has a certification in migration by the University of the Philippines in collaboration with the United Nations Organization.

    At a professional level, she works as an international lawyer with specialization in migration and women affairs humanitarian cases at Root Law Group in Los Angeles, CA. She is also State co coordinator and official representative in Los Angeles of the organization CLADEM Jalisco; volunteer of the Binational Organization Al Otro Lado, active member of the International Network for Women, EnReDHadas, and of the Mexican-American Women Lawyers Association (MABA).
